Who We Are
We are Committed to the Adaptive Reuse of America’s Older Architectural Assets.

At Century Restoration, we believe that all older properties have some historical significance and are worthy of special attention. We strive to make possible the continued use of our country's existing architectural resources. We feel that the health of our architectural heritage is instrumental in maintaining strong communities which possess a sense of place, and awareness of their own unique identities, and a pride in themselves and their contribution to culture. We recognize the contribution that these structures have made in shaping strong, vibrant neighborhoods and downtowns, and in creating desirable surroundings in which to live and work.

The founder of Century Restoration has been in the architectural millwork and construction industry for over twenty-five years. As owner of a 60,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan he has serviced some of the largest retailers in the nation. Satisfied customers have included Federated Department Stores, The May Company, Target and Neiman Marcus.

He has now turned his attention to his long held fascination with architectural preservation. It is work that he is deeply committed to and enthusiastic about. Preservation of the most humble of homes is as satisfying to him as the completion of a major department store remodel.

David Varney is a member of the City of South Haven Planning Commission, and is on the board of the Historical Association of South Haven. Century Restoration, LLC is licensed with the Michigan Department of Labor & Economic Growth.
